ABOUT US

The Michael Cusack Development Company, a voluntary body, was formed in November 2003 to commerate the memory of Michael Cusack.
Our key objective is to honour the founder of the Gaelic Athletic Association in his centenary of 2006, remembering Cusack for the dynamism that brought the GAA into existence.
The €1 million project includes:
- Restoration of the Burren herdsman’s cottage
- Development of a visitor’s space where the Cusack story will be told
- Research, archive and lecture facilities
Our project celebrates the memory of Cusack's achievements through cultural engagement, educational interaction and sporting development. We greatly acknowledge the support of our sponsors to date
Ní chuala mé riamh cainteoir a raibh an Ghaeilge are a thoil féin aige ná cainteoir níos líofa, níos blasta ná an Ciosógach Douglas Hyde, founder of the Gaelic League and first President of Ireland
